Like I Promised. . .

Here it is - This is the journal I made for our 25th Anniversary trip next week!
It is all Black & White with a little bit of silver and some bling. There is room for photos once we get home and room for daily journaling while we are away. It even has space for momentos we pick up along the way.
It isn't exactly what I invisioned when I started, but over all I am happy with it.

Man, It Feels Good to FEEL GOOD!!!!

It has been two whole days that I have felt great - back to my old self! And no one else in the house is sick either! It seems like forever since we have all been well.
Sunday I went shopping with Bryanna - just the two of us, it was such a nice day. I have been wanting to get a new outfit for our photo session on Coronado Island in 2 weeks. I found exactly what I was looking for - I always have the best luck when I shop with her!
Today I got the house all straightened up and it feels so good to have a clean house again. Tonight I played in my studio and got a whole project completed - again seems like forever since that has happened and again it felt GREAT!
Us three girls are heading to Vegas in December for Lizzy's 21st birthday (can you believe my baby is gonna be 21!!!) I thought it would be fun to have something to countdown the days until our trip. So, this is what I came up with. I actually got the idea from someone else, but I love how it turned out.

I have also been working on a travel journal for our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Coronado Island that I hope to share with you tomorrow night.
I hope you all had a great weekend like I did - enjoy your week!

Just Thought I'd Share. . .

What I did today.
My friend Judie's daughter got married today. I got to be a guest, a photographer, a designer and a "gopher". It was great fun and brought back memories of my daughter's wedding. Here are just a few of the pix I took today. . .

They didn't have a penny for the shoe - luckily I had a shinny one in my purse and found some tape in the office!

It was a HOT one today - I did not envy her in that big heavy dress! Although she was a beautiful bride and really kept her cool even when they were running so far behind while getting ready!

You just have to love a Mother/Daughter kiss on a wedding day!

This was the brides own idea - I thought it was a beautiful idea to actually lay the petals out in a design

They had the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen at a wedding! They were just stunning!
Well, it's late and I must crawl into bed. I hope you are all having a great weekend!

Just a Quick Share. . .

Just wanted to pop in and share a couple of the things I have been making in between nursing sick people and being sick myself.

This first one is a Christmas Card holder I made with my fav G45 papers and my new fav toy - my Cricut. My daughter does a more "cartoonish" christmas at her house and so I made this for her to hold all of the Christmas Cards she will get this year. I used chipboard as the base for all of the pieces, added painted, wooden clothes pins to the backs of the trees and attached all of the chipboard pieces with ribbon, I even added some stickles to this project (my 1st time using stickles). The candies, Merry Christmas and kitty are also on chipboard and raised up with pop dots.

You can click on the picture for more close up images.

This next one is a diaper wreath I made for my dear friend's daughter's baby shower (which I could NOT attend Sat because I was sick). I had seen diaper cakes before but never a wreath. I was playing online one night and saw some and thought "I want to make that!" and so I did!!! I made mine quite a bit bigger and love the double teired look of mine. It was super fun and easy to make - only took me about an hour and a half.

So what are all of you up to on this last day of a 3-day weekend??? I am home alone today. Gary managed to go to work today - he was feeling pretty bad last night. Liz is at work. Mom went for a masage this morning and then out to "tea" with some gal pals. Monkey is with her Mom and Dad and her Nana from Nor Cal. I have managed to do a few things around the house, including making yet another pot of soup. This is teh 3rd pot in a week. I am hoping that eventually this "jewish penicillin" is gonna do the trick! Have a great day!

OMGoodness. . .

Well, I'm off to pop another vitamin C. . .

2 Posts in 1 Day!!!!

Can you believe it?????
I just finished the sample for the Christmas Countdown Blocks and wanted to get it posted. This class will be taught on Saturday, November 14th. It will be an ALL DAY class, so pack a lunch. There will ONLY be 10 spots available for this class and no kits will be available. So be sure to get signed up early. I believe 2 spots have already been taken without even seeing the sample.

Sharing the Joy

I haven't shared any pictures for awhile now - with everyone being sick and all there have not been alot of photo opps.
This 1st set of pix are from this morning. Monkey and I made some chocolate chip cookies together. She did really well and was a BIG help! Take a look at how BIG she is getting. . .

Yeppers, that's her adding all of the chips to the mixer!

Now it's time to put them on the cookie sheets

Hot and fresh out of the oven - this is her pan that she made

Every good cook must taste as they go to make sure it's worth serving

The smile on her face says they are good enough to serve!!!!

She put her cookies into 2 little bags, one for Mommy and one for Papa! Not only is she a good cook, she is a good sharer (is that a word?)
These are from Saturday night. Addison came over for dinner and I wanted to play a game. Teasing, I said "let's play Twister". Addison had never played Twister, so Twister it was! I was the 1st one out each time. The moves I would have to make that would but my butt or some other equally offensive body part in Addison's face were ones I just wouldn't make, even if I could! But it was great fun to watch this 6'4" guy play this kids game.
They ended up in a few awkward positions - but it was fun to watch!

Lizzy consideres herself a "Twister Pro"
But at the end of the night it was Addison that was the Pro! He won 2 out of 3 rounds.
Hopefully I will be back soon with some pictures of the projects I have been working on. Until then, I hope you are all having a great week and staying well!
