I'M BACK!!!!!

That's right, I am home. I am busily trying to catch up and prep for classes, so this will be a short post. But I wanted to say hi! I had a FANTASTIC time while I was away and took about 8000 (yes 3 zeros!) photos while I was away! Here is one of my favorites. . .

I'm soooo EXCITED!!!

In 10 short hours I leave for my photo mentoring trip in So Cal!!!! It has been a hectic week (as well as this past weekend) and I hope I have everything gathered up that I need. I have never had to pack so much in my whole life for a trip! A Lap Top, ALL my camera gear, Chargers (4 or 5 of them)Card readers, cards, blank CDs, manuals, note books and so much more! Then of course there is all of the clothing and shoes and jackets. And did I mention make-up, blow dryers, flat irons and curling irons? I had so much to pack and organize that I asked Gary to pack for himself - the 1st time in 25 years that I have NOT packed his bag for a trip!

Well, it is getting late and I am getting tired. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and weekend. I hope you learn something new and inspiring too. I just know I will enjoy my mine and hope to learn alot of new somethings!

Just FIVE Months till I see London!!!!

That's right - just FIVE short months! I can barely wait!

I helped Monkey pick out 2 outfits today for London - they are really cute.

Oh wait, I am not going to London the city. London is the name of my newest Granddaughter! That's right - IT's A GIRL!!!!

We just found out today. I am so Glad that my daughter and her husband let me be such a big part of their lives. I got to go with them today to the ultrasound appointment. Here is teh first family photo with London in it. That's her in the photo my daughter is holding.

I hope you all had a great day - I know I did! But now I am tired so it's time to go chill.

Welcome to My Garden

You got the sneak peek last night, here's the whole deal. I am calling these "Primo Paper Posies" a little pun on the super popular Prima Flowers.

You can click on the picture to see close-ups of each flower on the board. I am basically a cheap crafter and although I love Prima's I hate having to pay for them. I hate it when I don't have the right color, size or style for my project too. I knew there had to be a better way. So I figured out how to make my own! Never again will I not have just the "right" flower for my project!

On this next photo you can see the 1st flower I ever made for a project. I had been looking for just the right one and couldn't find it. I went ahead and put a Prima on it, but I wasn't happy with it. Then one night I was practicing making some flowers and I came up with this one. I loved it. As I looked at it I realized it was perfect for my project! I ripped the Prima off and added my new creation.

I realize this one is different from the others but this is where my love of handmade flowers came from.

I will be teaching these as a class soon at The Creative Quest in Glendale AZ. Maybe I will see you there???

Welcome to Sunny Arizona????

Okay, so there hasn't been a lot of sun lately. In fact we have been having a lot of rain. Yesterday we even got some of the "white stuff". Well, it was hail not snow - but hey - it was still white!

So glad I hadn't planned on grilling out!
It was good to see that the expensive drainage system we put in works! It traveled out of the backyard, to the front yard and into the street just like they said it would. Thank goodness or we would have had water in teh house!

This is our "green" lawn? Guess Gary got out of mowing this weekend.

This is outside my front door. It was really piling up out there. I brought some in to Gary as her was relaxing on the couch - he was not impressed!

Well, I hope you all had a great weekend. I sure did - it was a busy one but a fun one.
