Gallery

I hope you enjoy cruisin' around my gallery. I have divided it up into types of art (books, canvases, etc). And where I thought needed, a short description was given of the piece. You may click on any of the images to see them a little larger. Enjoy your visit!

"Junque" Art
This is my new artistic passion. They are part mixed media, part collage but 100% fun. Each piece is full of symbolism and meaning for me and typically have a Scripture reference or theme. Some are on canvas while others are on wood or some other substrate. Each piece is given a name.

Handmade and Altered Books
Most of my books were made as samples for classes I taught at the Creative Quest/The Occasional Artist. Some were made just for me and my love of a handmade book.

"The Form & Function of the Industrial Woman"
Probably one of the most expensive and heaviest books I ever made. And definitely the one with the longest title! This is a sampling of the pages. It was made as a technique book of sorts. Different things I had been wanting to try but hadn't. Each page is interactive with lots of moving parts.

"School Days" Keepsake Box & Mini Album
This is an altered cigar box with a little handmade book inside.

Olde Curiosity Shoppe Box & Books
This is a handmade box that holds 2 handmade books. The 2 books pull out from the top and the front of the box opens as well to show off a few more photos.

"Botanicals Pop-up Photo Album"

Just a simple Vintage inspired journal

Newport Beach Travel Journal
I make a journal for every trip I go on.

My "Going to Church" Book
It is an old cookbook turned into a binder for me to keep all of my church bulletins and notes in. It goes to church every Sunday.

"Little Golden Book Altered Journal"
Inspired by my "Going to church book" I made this journal and taught it as a class.

 "Antiquities" Art Journal
I LOVE this book! It is made out of 5"x7" canvas boards, even the pages! Each page is primed and ready to make art on. And the covers are just heavenly with all of the modeling paste and inks.
Canvases
I love to make canvas art! I love to fill them with favorite scriptures and beautiful vintage photographs. But sometimes they are just whimsy and fun.
