Okay my new facination is making paper flowers! They are just so fun and the possibilities are endless! I am basically cheap at heart and a little impaitient too. So I hate paying the high cost of Primas so I rarely use flowers on my projects. I also do most of my creating in the middle of the night when stores are closed. So even if I wasn't cheap I wouldn't be able to run right out and get the perfect posie for my project. And
NO, I could not wait til the next day to go get one - I would need it
NOW! This has led me to figure out how to make my own. It has been a lot of fun and is a great way to use up scrap paper that I save "just in case".
Tonight I am teaching an altered canvas class, and as I was packing up my class bag I was trying to decide what I should take as this evening's door prize (I always give a door prize at my classes). That's when it hit me, I could make up some flowers to give away. Here they are. . .

I made all 6 flowers out of one sheet of cream cardstock. I cut the flowers using my Cricut in 4 different sizes, then ran each one trough my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. Next I inked them all up, curled the edges with a bamboo skewer and assembled them. I also cut out some leaves, embossed them with a swirly folder and of course inked them up too. I hope whoever wins them will enjoy them.
Have a great weekend Friends!
